Congratulations to our new Wigg’s Award Winner

Each half year Cloud9 recognises an individual choir member who has made a significant contribution to the life and wellbeing of the Choir. There was no question who we wanted to honour with the Wigg’s Award* this time around: Christine Tumminello. Christine does many things for our choir but the award was particularly to acknowledge the way Christine took over the running of several important rehearsals, sometimes at extremely short notice, with grace, humour and professionalism. We all enjoyed Christine’s style and learned a great deal from her musical insights. Thank you, and congratulations Christine.

* The “Wigg’s Award” is named for our patron, Leigh Wigglesworth OAM.

Wigg’s Award Winner

Each half year Cloud9 recognises individual choir members who have made a significant contribution to the life and wellbeing of the Choir. In June 2016 the award was made to Cathie one of our sopranos. Cathie has been one of our quiet achievers. In the early days of the choir she was soprano leader and founding committee member.

This award also recognises her consistent support of the choir in designing and publishing our documents and in making sure our rehearsal space is open and prepared each week so that we can start on time with everything in place. A great contribution and one for which the choir is very grateful. Pictured below are Cathie (r) and Committee Chair, Janice.

Congratulations to Desley

A belated congratulations to Desley, a most deserving winner of the Wiggs Award for Semester 2 2015. We are so grateful to you for all you do for Cloud9 Desley.

Desley’s award is for “her energetic contribution to Cloud 9 since it started both as a member of the founding Committee and for ensuring that our rehearsals are recorded and available to all choir members.  Her CDs have been invaluable both as a archive of performance and as a source of income for the choir.  Many thanks and congratulations Desley.”
