What happens when I submit the How to Join email?
Once you send us an email, we will respond within a few days. We will answer your queries and if you are then interested in joining, you will be given the opportunity to come along to a rehearsal and see if the choir is the right fit for you. If you decide to go ahead, a simple audition will be held with the Music Director the following week.
Do I have to audition?
We ask new members to come along to a rehearsal to see if the choir is the right fit for them. Potential choir members will be asked to audition with the Choir Director at the following week’s rehearsal to place their voice within the choir.
You do not need to prepare anything beforehand or have anything ready to sing. New members should be able to match pitch and copy a rhythm, and sight reading skills are great but not essential. An ability to read music is desirable.
When do you rehearse?
Thursday nights, 7:30-9:30pm.
Where do you rehearse?
We rehearse in the choir room at North Balwyn Uniting Church.

How many concerts do you perform each year?
We aim to perform two concerts per year, one in June and a second at the end of the year before Christmas.

What are your annual fees?
A $50 joining fee is charged to all members starting with the choir. Term fees are set at approximately $105 per quarter depending on the number of rehearsals that are booked for that term. Please contact the choir at cloud9womenschoir@gmail.com for more details.
